Laura Hickey Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director Laura Hickey serves as executive director of the Catholic Charities Jacksonville Regional Office. In this role, she is responsible for program management and license maintenance for the organization’s programs including the Family and Maternity Services, Emergency Assistance, Refugee Resettlement, Counseling and Adoption programs. Additionally, Laura oversees the formation, fund development, and management of CC Jax’s $3 million budget. As executive director, Laura also oversees the staff members and is responsible for working with the board of directors. Before joining the CC Jax team in 2005, Laura served as vice president for Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, IA. During her ten years at Trinity Regional, she provided administrative support to the medical center’s departments including: Behavioral Health, Renal, Rehabilitation, Oncology, Home Health and many others. At Trinity, she played an instrumental role in the development of various programs including the Service Excellence and Patient Satisfaction initiatives. She also assumed a leadership role in accreditation activities. Laura received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University in Chicago, IL where she also went on to receive her Masters in Social Work. She is a solutions-driven executive whose leadership and professional management skills continue to expand the community outreach efforts of CC Jax. In addition to her work with CC Jax, she participates in local efforts of the United Way Agency Directors Association, the Emergency Services Homeless Coalition of Jax, and is a member of Jacksonville Community Council Inc., and the Non-profit Center.
