I NOW BELIEVE

None of you know me but after reading this you will know my story and hopefully have your faith restored and become a believer as I did.

I suffer from a debilitating disease, which caused me to go out on medical leave.  Insurance companies and doctor offices being what they are, I found myself running into one closed door after another.  I was not receiving any income; therefore, I could not pay rent, buy food, or pay any other bills that were due.  I felt abandoned, left out like yesterday’s trash. Not only was I struggling with the pain of my disease and the financial burden upon me, my dog was dying and my car was repossessed.  Things were looking grim to say the least and depression was setting in fast.  I felt like no one cared.

Then two angels came from heaven. They directed me to call for help and I contacted Catholic Charities.   They helped me with some of my financial needs, and they directed me to other organizations for additional assistance.

The staff became my next angels.  Their kindness and gentle voices made me realize that I could accept their help without shame.

Before I knew it, I had food in my cupboards, my utilities were no longer in danger of being disconnected, and my medical benefits were not in jeopardy.  In addition, I was able to get glasses, which was long overdue, helping me to read and see things more clearly.

Through all of this I began to go back to church, which has really restored my faith.  I now believe in humanity again and the angels God sends us when we need them.  One could be sitting next to you right now.
