Catholic Charities Jacksonville is hosting our beloved Camp I Am Special in a virtual format from June 7 – July 23. This free program is designed for individuals of all ages and ability levels, including those with intellectual and developmental differences (IDDs).

Campers will access this virtual experience through a new, dynamic web portal that will be updated weekly with new activities that range from Zumba classes and dance parties to sign language lessons and arts and crafts. Accredited by the American Camp Association, this program is focused on creativity and connectivity – while also providing respite for parents at home during these unique times.

Registration for the web portal is required. By registering, Campers will set up a unique user name and password to access the content and interact with their fellow Campers and Buddies. If you have trouble with the process, please watch this simple tutorial or contact Rebecca Aleman at

The first 100 Campers to register will receive a FREE pair of Camp I Am Special sunglasses! We will also hold raffles and giveaways throughout the summer to delight and surprise our Campers.

Help Us Fund Camp This Year & Beyond

Superhero Day at Camp I Am Special-2858.

Camp I Am Special is completely free for families this year due to the generosity of our donors, and the enhancements to the 2021 program were made possible through a gift from the Chartrand Foundation. If you are in a position to give, we are continuing to raise funds for this year’s program and next year’s in-person sessions.
