IT TAKES A TEAM TO FIGHT HUNGER
Double the Impact of Your Gift through the Feed a Family Campaign
About the Feed a Family Campaign
Catholic Charities Jacksonville has been working tirelessly to meet the sharp increase in community need due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its long-lasting effects. This includes a significant spike in demand for our food pantry at St. Pius V Catholic Church – which provides more than 140 families each week with 50 to 75 pounds of food per household.
Last year, Catholic Charities Jacksonville donors generously gave $175,000 to the Feed a Family campaign in support of the food pantry through a matching gift from Karen and Greg Montana.
We are blessed to share that the Montanas are once again challenging us to raise $50,000, and they will personally match all donations up to $50,000 – automatically doubling your gift.
Our team is humbly asking you to once again support our mission to provide food for our hungry and vulnerable neighbors. We are also requesting notes of gratitude for our volunteers who are the backbone of this ministry as well as prayers for our mission.
The Impact of Our Food Pantry
The clients we serve often do not have enough money to buy healthy food for their families. They are unable to pay their bills. They deal with stress and insecurity on a regular basis, which has been exacerbated by the events of the past year.
With support from our dedicated volunteers and supporters, we have not only been able to keep our food pantry at St. Pius V Catholic Church open throughout the pandemic, but we also:
Adapted our food pantry to a drive-through, touchless delivery system
Increased the number of families served
Expanded our basic platform to include fresh milk
Removed limits on frequency of attendance
Added a weekly evening food distribution
Provided 22,330 families with 773,737 pounds of food valued at $1.3M (through our food pantry and the pop up pantry at The Jessie)

Messages for Our Food Pantry Volunteers
Thank you to all the FOOD PANTRY volunteer workers. I see how hard you all are working when-ever I deliver our Church's food contributions. Keep up the fantastic work! henever I deliver our Church contribution
Your gifts to our clients in need do not go unnoticed and are very much appreciated. Presence is truly the greatest gift. When you give your time to any of our programs, it's not just to the client receiving your direct service. You help everyone in that client's household as well as create pathways to remove any future barriers, should they arise. When you give your time you give your heart and we are grateful for your service. THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS!

As Maya Angelou said, "If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded." As the Workforce Development Manager, we are so grateful for each and every one of you!
As a volunteer myself I was not able to be a part of the pantry work over the past several months. However the mission that the pantry serves was never far from my mind. My life has been blessed for being a small part of the pantry team. Peace to all and God Bless.
Thank you for all you do to help us to transform lives!
Thank you for doing this important work.
A huge thank you to all of our volunteers. It has been a real pleasure working with you all over the past few months, and I can't thank you enough for all you have done to help fight hunger in Jacksonville.
Thank you all for everything you do; I know you do it with love in your heart, and a smile on your face. God bless each and every one of you
We are so grateful to our volunteers for the love and support they give our clients. Their work is inspiring and makes us proud to serve. We are blessed to have a team that cares so much about the pantry.
You guys have done an incredible job not just keeping the pantry open - but expanding its reach and helping so many families when they needed you most. Well done - and thank you for your dedication!
