WE NEED YOUR HELP TO FIGHT HUNGER

Help Us Raise $150,000 for Our Most Vulnerable Neighbors

About the Feed a Family Campaign

As thousands of First Coast families continue struggling to make ends meet, Catholic Charities Jacksonville remains a resource for our most vulnerable neighbors. We provide fresh food to more than 140 families per week and now offer two new programs to reach food-insecure children and low-income seniors.

But we need your help to continue these programs and expand them to meet the growing needs of our community. We are humbly asking you to once again by helping us raise $150,000 to support our mission through the Feed a Family campaign.

Our team is also requesting notes of gratitude for our volunteers who are the backbone of this ministry as well as prayers for our mission.

The Impact of Our Food Programs

The clients we serve often do not have enough money to buy healthy food for their families. They are unable to pay their bills. They deal with stress and insecurity on a regular basis, which has been exacerbated by the pandemic.

With support from our dedicated volunteers and supporters, we have not only been able to keep our food pantry at St. Pius V Catholic Church open throughout the pandemic, but we also launched two new programs to reach food-insecure children and low-income seniors.

Your support of the Feed a Family campaign last year allowed us to:

  • Send home bags of nutritious food with 51 children each week at Susie. E. Tolbert Elementary

  • Provide 115 seniors with bags of food at low-income housing each week

"God bless Susie E. Tolbert and Catholic Charities. I’m Ben's* grandmother and I help to take care of him and his two brothers. Money isn't easy to get, and the two bags of food that come home from school help so much. Thank you!"
