Reneshia was referred to Catholic Charities’ Workforce Development Program by Emergency Assistance Caseworker. Reneshia has experience working in the customer service, medical administration, and manufacturing fields. At this time Reneshia was attending FSCJ to gain a degree in biology and was looking for a customer service position.
While attending our Job Readiness class, Reneshia shared her desire to obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification to assist with a new family business. She wanted to support her family in their new business venture while also helping to care for people in her community.
As part of our job readiness class, Reneshia received a new resume, interviewing tips, mock interview with professional feedback, and professional attire from our clothing boutique. She also received food from our St. Pius V food pantry, a gas card, and a special retail gift card.
With a referral from our program, Reneshia applied for and was accepted into the CNA Scholarship Program through our non-profit partner, UCOM. UCOM offers this CNA scholarship program through their partner, Acumen CNA Testing and Training Center in Jacksonville, FL.
Reneshia has started a new position at Comcast as a Customer Service Associate, earning $15 per hour. We look forward to seeing Reneshia shine in her new position and her upcoming CNA training! We are so proud of Reneshia and our Workforce Development team who supported her.
