Helping Immigrants Achieve Their Dreams

Pablo was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. He arrived in the United States with his parents in November 2000 when he was 11 years old. He was granted the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals in 2013. When he initially applied for DACA, he wanted to be able to work to have money to get enrolled in college. He also wanted to help his parents with rent. He dreamt about having a car and building good credit so that someday he could buy a house.

Thru the years his dreams and desires have evolved. The last time we met with Pablo, he was helping individuals with disabilities and was ready to make a difference in the community. During 2020 he worked as a Nurses Aid, caring for patients with COVID-19. Presently he is working as a Nurses Aid in the surgery unit in a hospital in Jacksonville, FL.
