Catholic Charities Jacksonville expands services to Clay County families

Hello Clay County – we are excited about serving you!

On Saturday, August 20, Catholic Charities Jacksonville officially made our way across the Duval County line to help food-insecure Clay County residents. We served 177 families, including 216 kids and 59 veterans, at Saint Luke Catholic Church with a free, no-contact food giveaway. In total, we gave away nearly 15,000 lbs. of food during this kickoff event!

We are determined to expand our reach and continue to fight hunger in Clay County. While the August 20 event offered a larger quantity of food to kick-off our new partnership, Catholic Charities will continue to support the St. Luke site’s regular monthly food giveaways every third Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at 1606 Blanding Blvd., Middleburg, FL 32068.

In addition, as we get to know Clay County better over the next several months, we will also provide other services to residents - whether that’s a warm meal or rent/utility aid. Our team also plans to expand our services to Clay County Schools through our Weekend Hunger Backpack Program and more.
