Important Changes to Catholic Charities Camp I Am Special – Summer 2021

 

Given the current status of the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated risks, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person residential and day camp sessions for Catholic Charities Camp I Am Special for summer 2021. Our team will work diligently in the coming months to develop a robust virtual summer camp to offer our Campers and their families. 

 

Please note that this development will also result in the cancellation of the upcoming Buddy Training sessions scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 28 and Sunday, Jan. 31. 

 

We will provide updates and more information about our virtual summer sessions at ccbjax.org/camp-i-am-special. Thank you for your patience as we navigate these waters to ensure our Campers are both safe and supported.

Join your Camper for a five-day spiritual journey at Camp I Am Special.

 

Faith & Sharing Retreat allows teenagers and adults with different intellectual, physical, social, and emotional abilities the chance to strengthen their relationship with Christ during a religious and recreational sleep-away retreat with family and friends.

​

Daily religious programs and activities are developed and presented by Father Ron Camarda and Sister Maureen Kelley from the Diocese of St. Augustine.  Faith & Sharing is a short-term rental program through our American Camp Association accreditation.
