Catholic Charities Expecting Increase in Afghan Refugees

Updated: Mar 9, 2022

Matt Schmitt, our associate director, sat down with Action News Jax to discuss how Catholic Charities Jacksonville is preparing to welcome more refugees in our area due to the crisis in Afghanistan. We have resettled 119 Afghan refugees to Jacksonville since 2017 - with the vast majority having served as translators for our troops.

If you’d like to support our refugee resettlement program, financial contributions are the best way to make a difference as it allows our team to better position refugees for success and self-sustainability upon arrival. Donate today at CCBjax.org/donate.
